Event Arctic Frontiers 2023

EUROqCHARM members have submitted several abstracts to the scientific session «Plastic pollution, priorities and perspectives in the Arctic» and we expect to be in Tromsø shortly after the polar night is over!

At Arctic Frontiers 2023 Moving North, there will be seven science themes, covering a wide range of topics in physical and social sciences:

Session 1: Occupational health and safety in the Arctic (Tiina Ikaheimo and Anje Höper, University in Tromsø)

Session 2: City transformation by and for citizens using digital technologies and visualisation (Sobah Abbas Petersen and Alenka Temeljotov-Salaj, NTNU and SINTEF)

Session 3: Modelling and monitoring challenges to maritime safety in a changing Arctic (William Copeland and Penelope Wagner, Meteorological Institute of Norway)

Session 4: Plastic pollution, priorities and perspectives in the Arctic (France Collard, Norwegian Polar Institute)

Session 5: Impacts and adaptations in response to Atlantification/Borealisation of the Arctic Ocean (Mats Granskog and Kit Kovacs, Norwegian Polar Institute)

Session 6: Adaptive management of rapidly changing Arctic ecosystems using interdisciplinary and system-science approaches (Igor Eulaers, Norwegian Polar Institute)

Session 7: Assembling the valuable and vulnerable North (Arthur Mason, NTNU)
